Driveway Material: Brushed Concrete
Area: 652 Square Feet
Installation Date: March 2nd to 7th, 2020
Lloyd wanted to get a new driveway, walkway, and front porch, so he contacted us and a few other contractors in the Bay Area for the installation.
He chose us and said that "You had the best value and you guys seemed to really know what you were doing. The speed was important too. That was always my test, if someone takes a couple of months it's not gonna be very good, but if they can do it in a week, then it will be good."
After Lloyd accepted his quote from us, we scheduled the installation shortly afterward. Armando and his crew started the process by demolishing the old concrete, then preparing the base material for the new concrete. Preparing base material is a very important part of a project like this.
With a sturdy and properly prepared base, your driveway will last longer and will be less likely to deal with major cracks after a short time. That's also why you should always use a professional licensed contractor that is skilled at their work. After the base material was ready, it was time to start pouring the concrete and then add the brushed finish at the end. The crew completed the entire installation within a week.
After a couple of weeks, once the concrete was fully cured, Lloyd also wanted us to apply epoxy to the front porch portion of the project. Epoxy can be used as a protective coating over concrete and also makes it easier to clean.
Lloyd was happy with the project overall and said, "My overall experience is a 5/5, I'm happy with everything."
